There are 2 exciting events this week in Singapore geared towards the Web 2.0 community. Best of all, these events are free! So make your way down. Googlers will be there too, taking in the presentations, and also presenting on topics such as Building Social Applications for the Cloud, the Flash Maps API, Promoting and Monetising your Applications, and a Brief Tour of the "Other" Google APIs.
"The Singapore Flex Usergroup is very proud to present Singapore’s very first RIA ( Rich Internet Applications) Event - RIAction! Taking place on the 26th February 2009, RIAction will see speakers from Google, Microsoft, Adobe, together with community leaders, coming together for a day of technological updates, roadmaps and application showcase!"
RIAction is on this Thursday 26th February. Find out more and register at http://riaction.sg
"BarCamp is an ad-hoc un-conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. All participants are encouraged to give a demo, a session, or help with one. All presentions are scheduled the day they happen. Prepare in advance, but come early to get a slot on the wall. Presenters are responsible for making sure that notes/slides/audio/video of their presentations are published on the web for the benefit of all and those who can’t be present."
BarCamp is on this Saturday 28 February. Find out more and register at http://barcamp.org/BarCampSingapore3
We hope to see you at one, or maybe even both, of these events!
